Among the subjects inspected, a well-known fishmonger from the center of Naples emerged, where 1.500 kilos of fish products were seized. For this activity, three administrative reports were issued for violations relating to hygiene and health standards, labeling and traceability.
“E-fishing” intervention plan
The operation, conducted in collaboration with the Naval Air Operations Department of the Guardia di Finanza of Naples, is part of the national control plan called “e-fishing”. This initiative was implemented during peak sales periods, such as the days immediately preceding the holidays, and included monitoring of online markets. In Campania, about a thousand interventions were carried out, leading to 93 seizures and the reporting of 115 offences, which include prohibited practices such as fishing in prohibited areas and non-compliant labelling.
