Spazio Körper, the National Dance Production Center, continues its 2024 programming with the long-awaited return of Körperformer, a festival dedicated to contemporary dance. This event will be held from December 3 to 8 at the Sala Assoli of Casa del Contemporaneo in Naples.
Organized in memory of the choreographer Gennaro Cimmino, Körperformer is once again an important platform for the promotion of the Campania dance scene, offering space to young local authors and promoting their visibility at a national and European level.
A tribute to contemporary dance
The center, recognized for supporting emerging talents, celebrates this year two nominations for the Ubu Awards with the show “Stuporosa” by Francesco Marilungo and the soundtrack by Vera Di Lecce. Körperformer continues to pursue its mission of serving as a meeting and reflection point for audiences and artists, maintaining a research approach focused on the human body.
The main events of the festival
The inauguration scheduled for December 3 will present “Decisione Consapevole” by Roberto Tedesco, a work that combines words and movement through improvisation. The following day, December 4, will be the turn of “Ça ira”, signed by Francesco Colaleo and Maxime Freixas, a dreamlike journey inspired by Nietzsche’s philosophy. December 5 will see the presentation of “Handle with care”, a narration of emotional memories with the performers Maria Anzivino, Ginevra Cecere and Viola Russo di Funa.
On December 6, “Femenine” by Gianmaria Borzillo will explore queer themes through a musical microcosm based on the work of Julius Eastman. This will be followed by “Hybridus” by the Cornelia company, which will offer a triptych of contemporary choreographies inspired by the BALLET RUSSES of the twentieth century. The festival will close on December 9 with Adriano Bolognino and his diptych “Your body is a battleground” and “Gli Amanti”, which explore the theme of physical and social bonds.
Spazio Körper once again establishes itself as an epicenter of innovation in dance, uniting tradition and modernity in an ongoing dialogue between artist and spectator.

The Körperformer event looks interesting, but there are so many events and I don't know if I'll be able to see everything. I hope there is clear information about the tickets so I can plan my visit and not miss anything.
