A serious road accident occurred yesterday evening, December 26, on Provincial Road 30 between San Severo and Torremaggiore, in the Foggia province, tragically resulting in one death and several injuries. According to initial reports, a Bulgarian man chased and rammed an ambulance that was taking his wife to the hospital, who was injured following an explosion in their home.
The accident
The man's attempt to flag down the ambulance led to a violent chase that culminated in a collision that sent the ambulance off the road. His car, an Audi, also ended up in a ditch. The force of the accident killed the man's mother-in-law, who was a passenger.
The ambulance driver, also Bulgarian, suffered minor injuries, while the four workers on board—two nurses and two healthcare workers—suffered multiple injuries following the impact.

The accident is very tragic and makes you think about how the situation can get out of hand. It is important that there are more stringent road safety measures to prevent similar events in the future, especially with ambulances.
