The Teatro Civico 14 in Caserta will host the debut of the show "REC. D-istruzioni per una storia virale" on Saturday, December 7th at 20.00:XNUMX PM. The new production by the Compagnia Vulìe Teatro, written and directed by Michele Brasilio, humorously explores the theme of family ties in the age of social media.

Joining Brasilio on stage will be Marina Cioppa and Stefania Remino, with sets designed by Vincenzo Leone and lights by Alessandro Benedetti.

A mix of drama and irony

The play explores the complexities of a family coping with the decline of their ailing mother, blending drama and black comedy. In this context, the illness becomes the central focus of family conflicts and alliances, in an attempt to mitigate the pain through the creation of a viral spectacle on social media. The plot highlights the fragility of family relationships and the influence of celebrity and financial gain, with protagonists Mattia, Bea, and Nicole, who go from victims of family circumstances to unwitting actors in a spectacular performance.

Ethical dilemmas and contemporary reflections

A €5 million offer forces the characters to face difficult moral choices. The play, as explained by author Michele Brasilio, aims to reflect on how family bonds evolve under the pressure of contemporary society, blurring the lines between sincere affection and personal interests. Brasilio highlights the transformation of pain into entertainment and the transformation of the home into an inexorable virtual prison, aiming to inspire audiences to reflect, be moved, and smile bitterly. The performance will be repeated on Sunday, December 8th at 18.00:12 PM and the following weekend. Tickets, €10 for full price and €XNUMX for concessions, are available online.

I read the article and I think it's very interesting, but I don't know if I understand the idea well. The sick family and social media sounds complicated, but maybe it can be funny even if sad. I would like to know more about the characters.
