A comedy on current issues
The play focuses on current issues such as surrogate motherhood and surrogacy, contracted by a celebrity couple to save her career in show business. The story unfolds around the gossip and emotional consequences of choosing to resort to surrogacy for aesthetic reasons.
Characters and sentimental dynamics
Veronica Mazza plays Margherita, who agrees to carry a child with her husband Tommaso (Eduardo Tartaglia) out of economic necessity. The dynamics that develop within the two main couples highlight the difficulties and tumultuous emotional changes they face. The comedy, as it unfolds, manages to deal with profound themes with lightness and humor, reflecting the insecurities of contemporary society.
The protagonists' challenge between uncertainties and values guides the spectators through a narrative that, despite the moral and material difficulties, offers food for thought on the maintenance of values in modern society.
