Campi Flegrei recorded new earthquakes yesterday evening, shortly before 22 pm. Two seismic events, which occurred in rapid succession, alarmed the local population.
The tremors, clearly felt in the Phlegraean area, prompted many citizens to share their testimonies on social media. Not only the residents of Campi Flegrei, but also those of Naples, Quarto, Agnano and Pozzuoli reported having clearly felt the earthquake, accompanied, in some cases, by a loud roar.
According to data provided by the Vesuvius Observatory, the two earthquakes occurred approximately 20 seconds apart.

The municipality of Pozzuoli has released an official note to inform citizens and provide instructions on how to behave in case of emergency. The communication specifies that the main earthquake, of magnitude 1.7 ± 0.3, was located near Via Coste d'Agnano, in the area of the Solfatara Volcano, at 21:56 local time (20:56 UTC), at a depth of 1.3 kilometers.
The event may have been accompanied by a roar, a phenomenon already known in the coastal area, and has caused concern among residents. The authorities, meanwhile, continue to carefully monitor the evolution of the situation, in an area that has long been under the threat of intense seismic activity.
