The "Tombolata Show," curated by Emilio Massa, will take place at the Teatro Karol in Castellammare di Stabia on Saturday, December 28th. The event, which opens at 20:30 PM, is an unusual reinterpretation of the traditional Christmas game, led on stage by an elderly lady who tells her personal story while also calling out numbers.

A Tribute to Popular Culture

The performance is part of the artistic initiative “Nel Segno di Viviani” of the Casa del Contemporaneo. The aim is to unite the characters of Neapolitan popular culture with the traditional game of tombola, inspired by the universe of Raffaele Viviani. Emilio Massa emphasizes the desire to create an experience that combines popular games with theatrical art, to entertain the audience with a performance that has no pretensions but focuses on genuine comic vitality.

Entertainment & Collaborations

Included in the ticket price, participation in the tombola is enriched by prizes offered in collaboration with Mondadori BookStore and Taverna Mafalda. The event, in the hall on via Allende, does not end with the theatrical performance. The public will be able to visit the installation “O vico d'e guagliune” for free, a work presented in the theater's Art Space.

Practical information

Tickets are available at €12, with reductions for specific age groups. Reservations are recommended and can be made by phone or email. In addition, during the holiday season, the theater offers multiple-entry CARDS at a discounted price. Further details on the scheduled initiatives can be found on the official website of the Teatro Karol and on the respective social channels.
