On Friday, December 6, 3/4 of Sonic Youth, an iconic band on the indie/noise/no wave scene, delighted the citizens of the Big Apple with a completely unexpected reunion.
Lee Ranaldo, Thurston Moore, and Steve Shelley performed at The Stone, a club in Greenwich Village. Those in attendance described the trio's hour-long performance as an eloquent tribute to noise and improvisation.
The only one missing to complete the lineup was Kim Gordon.
