The tenth edition of the Fausto Rossano Award - Social and Mental Health Film Festival concluded successfully yesterday at the Teatro Bolivar. The event, which had the theme "People," addressed timely social issues through nationally and internationally renowned guests.
This festival, conceived by Marco Rossano and artistically directed by Sergio Sivori, saw the participation of 36 works from 13 countries, divided into five categories: Short Films, Focus Campania, Students, Workshops and Animations.
Winners and Awards
The closing evening was attended by a panel of experts, chaired by journalist Titta Fiore, and actress Agnese Nano. The winners were announced for each category, including "IT TURNS BLUE" by Shadi Karamroudi for the Short Films category and "LA GIUSTIFICAZIONE" by Alex Marano for the Focus Campania category. "IL RESPIRO DEL DIAVOLO" by Enrica Ermini triumphed in the Student category, while "LO SPIRAGLIO" by Federico Angeli et al. won in the Workshop category. In the Animation category, the award went to "VENDING MACHINE MERCHANT" by Zi Xin Jin.

Special Awards
The Youth Award was given to "ROBERT MUTT" by Fiorenzo Brancaccio. The Fausto Rossano Special Award was given to several personalities, including Imma Villa, Carlo Cerciello, Agnese Nano, and Mohsen Makhmalbaf.
Collaborations and Awards
The award was supported by the Campania Region and the Film Commission, with contributions from the Pio Monte della Misericordia and the Paolo Tortora & Valentina Abbruzzeso Tortora Foundation. It also received the patronage of the University of Naples Federico II, Department of Social Sciences. The illustration for the award is by Neapolitan artist Spiff, aka Andrea Maresca.

The event of the Teatr Bolivar seemed very important for the social culture, but I did not understand well which are the most significant works among those presented. I hope that there will be other editions in the future to deepen these themes.
