Crackdown on violence in stadiums. The Casms (Committee for the Analysis of the Safety of Sports Events) of the Ministry of the Interior has decided to propose a ban on travel for fans of some Serie A and B teams due to the escalation of violent incidents linked to football matches.
According to what Adnkronos has learned, the measure concerns supporters of Atalanta, As an, Rome e Napoli, with differentiated measures based on the severity of the incidents. The public safety authorities of the prefectures involved will be invited to prohibit a trip away to the fans of Atalanta, Como and Roma; three consecutive away games to Napoli fans, judged responsible for particularly serious and repeated conduct during the season.
The decision comes in response to the increase in clashes between fan groups, which often see law enforcement officers as targets of organized aggression. The Casms emphasizes that the coalition between ultras groups of opposing factions to attack the authorities is a matter of great concern, which requires decisive interventions to ensure public safety.
