The Civil Protection of the Campania Region has issued a weather alert with yellow level hydrogeological criticality, valid from 23:59 pm today until 20:00 pm tomorrow, Saturday 18 January.
The decision, based on the analyses of the Functional Centre, indicates a high risk of intense storms throughout the region. Among the expected phenomena are landslides, floods, inundations and falling rocks, with possible consequences on the local hydrogeological system.
In addition, the alert already in force for strong winds and rough seas, with forecast of storm surges along the coasts, has been extended until the same deadline. The mayors of the region have been advised to activate the Municipal Operations Centers (COC) and to implement all necessary measures to limit the risks, in line with the civil protection plans. Particular attention will have to be paid to monitoring public green areas, checking the stability of structures exposed to the wind and the conditions of the wave motion.

The weather alert was issued by the civil protection, this is important for everyone's safety. But I don't understand why there are always landslides and floods, perhaps they should do more to prevent these events.
