Gennaro Rapillo, the owner of the Forcella garage, has been arrested and charged with extortion aggravated by mafia methods. Rapillo and other men attacked MP Borrelli.

The owner of the "SpaccaNapoli" garage forced a colleague, who runs a nearby garage, to pass customers to him, causing him significant financial loss. The State Police (Naples Flying Squad and Border Police) arrested the owner of a garage in the Forcella neighborhood of Naples at Fiumicino Airport, charged with extortion aggravated by mafia methods.

In fact, the man is considered by the Neapolitan DDA to be close to the Mazzarella clanHis garage has been seized. It's the same garage in front of which MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli was attacked last December during a live social media broadcast aimed at denouncing the illegal occupation of the streets by certain garages in the area.

According to what emerged from the investigations of the Flying Squad, the arrested garage owner had repeatedly threatened, including death, the owner of the other garage, his family and his employees.

On some occasions he would even order that cars already parked in the victim's garage be moved to his garage.

“Our complaints were not made at random, we had a basis and the epilogue of this story proves it” - comments Borrelli - “The threats and retaliations, the extortions, the use of violence, the continuous violations of the rules by distorting them at will to feed the sources of income, are typical elements of the modus operandi of the Camorra clans to which this individual and his accomplices are unequivocally linked, indeed he represented a source of income for the Mazzarellas thus fueling the dangerousness of the criminal group.

But this story must now go beyond the arrest of the garage owner and the seizure of the premises, we must dig deep and stop the system of illegal garages and those linked to the Camorra. Beyond the case of Saint Archangel in Baiano There are several illegal profiteers and criminals who often speculate by opening garages with only two covered parking spaces.

The activity then takes place outside by illegally occupying the blue lines, sidewalks, pedestrian areas, disabled parking spaces and bus stops. The world of the Camorra has countless ramifications, this is one of them and cutting them off means taking power away from the clans.”
