On the opening night of the 15th edition of “AstraDoc – Journey into the Cinema of Reality”, the Cinema Academy Astra welcomed a large audience for the screening of the documentary “Si dice di me”.
The film
This film, directed by Isabella Mari, tells the significant cultural work of Marina Rippa through a theater workshop in Piazza Forcella, involving many women of the neighborhood in an act of cultural resistance.
The event was sold out, with 450 spectators filling the room, and concluded with a standing ovation lasting over 10 minutes to celebrate the contribution of Rippa, the project participants and the producers Antonella Di Nocera and Claudia Canfora.
The statements of the protagonists highlighted a path of sisterhood and sharing that has involved about 500 women in thirty years of activity. Marina Rippa highlighted the importance of the meeting between the laboratory "La scena delle donne", promoted by her association F.Pl. Femminile Plurale, and the AstraDoc review, as cultural pillars in the city of Naples.
Future Events
The festival, curated by Antonio Borrelli, will continue on Friday, January 17 with a special evening dedicated to Cesare Pavese. The films “Le belle estati” by Mauro Santini and “Il mestiere di vivere” by Giovanna Gagliardo will be presented in first vision, and they will be present at the event at the Cinema Academy Astra.
