Two men were arrested by the Carabinieri of the Pozzuoli Company for a theft committed in an abandoned school building in Bacoli: the timely intervention of the police, activated by 112, allowed the criminals to be caught red-handed.
The incident occurred in via Scalandrone, where the two men, a 41-year-old and a 37-year-old, dismantled and took away several aluminum window frames from the former school. After the theft, the Carabinieri of the Licola station tracked down the suspicious vehicle less than a kilometer from the scene of the crime, managing to stop it.
The arrested, identified as Salvatore Esposito and Giacomo Ignarra, both residents of the neighborhood soccavo of Naples, were charged with aggravated theft. The two are now awaiting trial. The operation is part of the prevention and control services of the territory set up by the Carabinieri to combat crime phenomena in the Phlegraean area.

It is a situation that makes us reflect on the state of safety in our schools. It is worrying that criminals can act freely in abandoned places. I hope that there are more controls to prevent similar episodes.
