Yesterday afternoon, January 9, 2025, State Police personnel from the Benevento Police Headquarters arrested in flagrante delicto a forty-two-year-old from the capital, already known to the police, who shortly before had snatched a bag from a woman in the center of Benevento.
The arrest was carried out by personnel from the local Flying Squad following an emergency call to “113” by the victim, who reported that shortly before, while she was stopped in her car, a man had suddenly stolen her bag and fled in a hurry.
Having arrived on site immediately, the cops they acquired the first essential information for the continuation of the investigations and aimed in particular at identifying the perpetrator of the act.
Having acquired this information, the operators began searching for the suspected person, meticulously searching the city streets until they managed to track him down, who was taken to the police station, subjected to photo-signaling and arrested for theft by sleight of hand. The man was then taken to house arrest pending the validation judgment.
