Marcianise – Moments of apprehension in Marcianise, where a one-and-a-half-year-old child was rushed to the Santobono hospital in Naples after ingesting a toxic substance, most likely bleach.
The alarm was raised in the early afternoon yesterday, when the little boy began to feel unwell immediately after lunch. According to initial reports, the child had accidentally drunk a corrosive liquid, perhaps the contents of a bottle of detergent, but investigations are underway to clarify the exact dynamics of the accident.
The family members immediately requested emergency intervention and an ambulance transported the little boy from the Madonna della Libera district to the pediatric emergency room of the Santobono.
The doctors subjected him to all the necessary tests to evaluate his conditions and establish the most appropriate treatment.
Investigations are continuing to reconstruct the details of the incident and verify any responsibilities.

It is really worrying that a child of such a young age can ingest toxic substances such as bleach. We hope that parents can be more careful about what we leave around the house, even if it is not always easy.
