Boscoreale. The police are closing in on a gang of robbers who have held the Vesuvian area in check. This morning, the Carabinieri of Boscoreale executed a custodial order against a twenty-year-old, believed to be responsible for two armed robberies committed in November.
The investigation, conducted under the direction of the Public Prosecutor's Office of Torre Annunziata, allowed us to reconstruct in detail the actions of the young man and his accomplices. On November 3 and 5, the criminals broke into a petrol station in Boscoreale and a pharmacy in Pompei, threatening the employees with firearms and taking away the money.
Thanks to the images recorded by the video surveillance systems, the Carabinieri were able to identify the twenty-year-old and reconstruct the entire dynamics of the robberies, from the preparatory phase, with the theft of a car to mislead the investigation, up to the execution of the robberies.
The arrested person was taken to the prison of Naples-Poggioreale. The investigations continue without stopping to identify and arrest the other members of the gang.
