Naples - In recent days, ASL Napoli 1 Centro has conducted intensive monitoring activities to ensure food safety and compliance with health and hygiene regulations in the city's commercial establishments.
The operations, conducted in collaboration with law enforcement, primarily targeted the neighborhoods of Pianura, Piazza Mercato, Colli Aminei, and the Via Costantinopoli area. In total, over 40 convenience stores, restaurants, and other businesses were inspected.
The results of the inspections were merciless: over 100 fines were issued, for a total fine exceeding 30 euros. In several cases, suspension of operations and seizure of non-compliant goods were ordered.
"This operation demonstrates our ongoing commitment to ensuring public health and legality in the food sector," said Ciro Verdoliva, Director of the Prevention Department of the ASL Napoli 1 Centro. "We will continue to carry out widespread checks to combat all forms of illegality and protect consumers."
