Former footballer Bobo Vieri is at the centre of a social controversy with his colleague and former partner Antonio Cassano: tension between the two exploded after Cassano left Bobo TV.
Since then, the two have exchanged reproaches for "incorrect behavior" that have undermined their friendship.
Last October, Cassano had analyzed his professional separation from Bobo Vieri during an interview with Passa dal BSMT. On that occasion he declared: “Did you think you were the strongest? Instead, we three are. Are you convinced? Go alone and attack, now not even your mother follows you”.
In response, Vieri did not shy away from a direct confrontation. Through a story on Instagram, he expressed his disappointment with incisive words: “Dear Cassano, you should just be ashamed! Don't you dare mention my mother's name! Learn to speak. Anyone who talks about other people's families and parents is worthless! Think about living your life! Shame on you”.
The harsh statements came after Cassano had recently made unflattering comments towards Vieri during the delivery of the Golden Tapir by Valerio Staffelli.
This situation leaves many to reflect on the state of a friendship that, until recently, was considered an example of lightheartedness and complicity. The prospect of a reconciliation seems very remote today, with the news that the two former champions are now more often in the headlines for their disputes. The evident rift between their paths seems to be definitive.
