Capaccio Paestum – Another accident at work. This morning, in the locality of Sorvella, a 52-year-old worker originally from Sant'Antonio Abate fell from a height of several meters while working in a buffalo farm.

The man, an employee of a Neapolitan company responsible for installing photovoltaic panels, suffered a fractured shoulder and right leg.

The alarm was raised immediately: the 118 emergency services intervened with an ambulance from the Capaccio Red Cross. Initially the conditions of theworker seemed serious, also because the man had lost consciousness. However, falling on a layer of manure, and not on concrete, reduced the impact, avoiding worse consequences.

After receiving first aid on site, the injured man was taken by helicopter to the emergency room of the Ruggi d'Aragona hospital in Salerno. His condition, although serious, does not cause particular concern.

An investigation has been opened into the dynamics of the accident

The Carabinieri of the Capaccio station have started investigations to clarify the dynamics of the accident and verify compliance with workplace safety regulations and establish any responsibilities.
