Caserta. A desperate call for help to the emergency number 112 allowed the Carabinieri to intervene and put an end to a situation of domestic violence late yesterday evening. The protagonists of the story are two elderly spouses, aged 71 and 73, who reported the continuous mistreatment suffered by their 29-year-old son.
Exasperated by aggressive and threatening behavior, the parents, at the height of yet another fight, decided to ask for the intervention of the police. When the military of the Operational and Radiomobile Nucleus of the Caserta Company arrived, the two were visibly shaken and tried by the situation, which had been dragging on for years.
Reassured by the presence of the police, the elderly filed a complaint, describing the frequent unjustified requests made by their son and the repeated verbal and physical aggression, often triggered by trivial reasons. They also reported having already reported similar episodes in the past, but without obtaining a change.
In the meantime, the young man had left the house, but the carabinieri tracked him down shortly after near the front door, where he was wandering around with a nervous and hostile attitude. Once stopped, he was taken to the barracks and subsequently transferred to the prison of Santa Maria Capua Vetere.
