Momenti di alta tensione si sono vissuti questa mattina in piazza Garibaldi, vicino alla stazione ferroviaria di Caserta, quando una donna di 63 anni, di origine ucraina, è stata bloccata dalla Polizia di Stato per possesso ingiustificato di armi.
The alarm was raised after numerous reports from citizens who had noticed the woman handling a kitchen knife in public. The Flying Squad intervened quickly, managing to locate and approach the 63-year-old.
The officers proceeded to disarm the woman, who was then accompanied to the police station for further investigations.
At the end of the checks, the woman was reported at liberty on charges of unjustified possession of weapons. In addition, the procedure for issuing the Daspo Urbano, a provision that prohibits access to specific areas of the city to anyone who compromises public safety and decorum.
The situation, which caused considerable apprehension among those present, was quickly managed by the police, restoring calm in the area.
