A singular event has shaken Castel Volturno, where a 73-year-old woman was reported at liberty for receiving stolen goods and laundering a stolen car. Yesterday afternoon, the Carabinieri of the Territorial Department of Mondragone carried out a house search at the elderly woman's home, finding a stolen BMW X1 in the courtyard, as well as material useful for cloning keys and false documents.
The BMW X1, reported stolen a few days ago, was located thanks to the GPS signal of the still active anti-theft device. Upon arrival at the scene, the carabinieri immediately noticed that the car had loosely affixed Luxembourg license plates. Despite this, the vehicle could be opened and started with the original keys provided by the rightful owner.
Further checks on the chassis number and the documentation attached to the complaint confirmed the identity of the vehicle. The woman initially denied involvement in the incident, claiming that she had simply allowed an acquaintance – whose personal details she did not remember – to park the car in her yard. However, her claims were denied when, during the search, blank circulation documents registered to non-existent persons and two electronic devices: a “full range all round detector” and an “xhorse”. These sophisticated tools, commonly used for cloning both analog and digital keys, have strengthened suspicions about the woman's involvement in crime-ridden activities. Recycling.

This story is very strange and makes you think about how people can get involved in illegal situations without realizing it. The 73-year-old woman said she didn't know anything, but there is evidence to the contrary. It is important that these facts are clarified.
