Castellammare, Lorenzo Marone presents the book “Life Sometimes Happens”

The presentation of Lorenzo Marone's new novel, organized by the association "Achille Basile – Le ali della letteratura," will take place on Tuesday, January 14, 2025, at the Circolo Internazionale in Castellammare di Stabia.

The presentation of Lorenzo Marone's new book, La vita a volte capita published by Feltrinelli Editore, is underway at the Circolo Internazionale di Castellammare di Stabia located in via Largo Quartuccio n.24. The literary event will take place on Tuesday 14 January starting at 18.30:XNUMX and will be chaired by the cultural association Achille Basile – Le ali della letteratura.

The author will be in conversation with professor and president of the cultural association Carmen Matarazzo, editor, author and professor Gianluca Calvino and journalist Emanuela Francini.
It will be an important opportunity to reflect on some themes that run through the experience of life, such as the incessant passing of time, disillusionment, the reckoning with one's past, regrets, remorse and the rediscovery of what Marone defines as "the poetry of the minuscule", that is, the wonder for things.

The plot of the book, in fact, focuses on the elderly Cesare Annunziata, a much-loved protagonist with inexhaustible narrative potential, as he was already narrated by Lorenzo Marone ten years ago in the book “La tentazione di essere felici” (2015) and today returns to thrill the reading public once again.

In a summery and strangely desolate Naples, Cesare Annunziata takes a journey into his past, retracing the stages of his relationship with his wife and children, arriving at some sensible awareness. It is a literary journey, full of emotion and introspection, led by the author who will kindly confront the audience present.
