Santa Marina – A plant for the production of prefabricated concrete elements was seized by the forestry police in the territory of Santa Marina, within the National Park of Cilento.
The operation was conducted by the military of the Morigerati Park unit, in collaboration with those of the Sanza Park, following investigations that revealed serious irregularities.
The plant, which extends over approximately 15.000 square meters, was built in a state-owned area subject to landscape and hydrogeological constraints, located less than 150 meters from the left bank of the Bussento River and falling within the site of community interest "Basso corso del Fiume Alento". According to investigators, the activity lacked the necessary environmental authorizations.
In light of the violations found, the forestry police ordered the seizure of the entire plant, including all the infrastructure present in the area. Investigations are continuing to clarify any responsibilities.
