A tragic event that occurred more than 1.150 kilometers from home has left a family from Salerno searching for answers: Francesco, a chef originally from the Zevi district of Salerno, born in 1973, was found dead in Trostberg, a small town in Bavaria.
The man's lifeless body was found on the night between October 25 and 26. Three months after the tragedy, the sisters reject the suicide hypothesis advanced by the German authorities and ask for justice.
Assisted by the lawyer Assunta Mutalipassi, the women filed a formal complaint with the Police Headquarters of Salerno. The Italian police were instructed to forward the documentation to the Bavarian investigative authorities, requesting a further investigation to clarify the circumstances of the death.
According to the complaint, the sisters provided investigators with a video allegedly showing Francesco in his final moments. The cook was filmed manipulating some harnesses and saying farewell words to his partner, while also expressing regrets over negative comments he had received from others. A possible farewell message, however, which the family is not convinced by.

The inconsistencies raised by the sisters concern, in particular, the disappearance of the cell phone with which the video was recorded. “The phone was never found,” reads the complaint filed in Italy.
A circumstance that, together with other shadows on the affair, fuels the family's suspicions and strengthens the request for further investigative investigations.
Italian authorities are now tasked with pushing for a new phase of investigation in Germany, while the family awaits answers to shed light on a mystery that remains unsolved to this day.
