Today, Monday, January 20, at the San Michele Complex in Salerno, an important event will be held as part of the cycle “Inhabitants of Time. The Civil Commitment of Literature”. The meeting, promoted by Delia Agenzia Letteraria and the Cultural Association Mare Sole e Cultura in collaboration with the Campania Region, will explore social changes through the lens of narrative.
A meeting with the author
At 18.30:3 p.m., Dario Franceschini will present his novel “Aqua e tera”, published by La nave di Teseo. The book is set in Ferrara during the fascist squadrism period and tells a love story between two girls. The opening greetings will be given by Tino Iannuzzi, while Franceschini will discuss his work with Oreste Lo Pomo, Director of TgXNUMX Campania.
A story of social and personal changes
Set in the post-First World War historical context, the novel explores the social struggles of the Ferrara countryside. At the center of the plot, the events of the Callegari family and the love between Tina and Lucia, respectively daughters of a fascist agrarian and a socialist league leader. Their destinies intertwine in a period marked by tensions between the red leagues and the black shirts. Also known for his debut with “Nelle vene quell'acqua d'argento”, Franceschini has received recognition in France and Italy. His works, translated into several languages, continue to explore profound themes of the Italian context.
