Naples – The Ente Autonomo Volturno has reached a historic agreement with the main trade union organizations (CGIL, CISL, UIL, UGL and CISAL) of the Autolinee Transport Directorate.
The agreement, the result of months of intense negotiations, aims to revolutionize the organization of work for bus drivers, ensuring a more efficient and extended service to citizens of the Naples metropolitan area.
More rides and more flexible shifts. Thanks to this agreement, EAV will be able to significantly increase the number of trips, ensuring greater territorial coverage and thus responding to the mobility needs of commuters. In addition, a new organization of work shifts is planned, with greater flexibility and the possibility of more easily reconciling work and private life.
Incentives and improvements for drivers. To make the job of a driver more attractive and to encourage attendance at work, the agreement includes a series of measures for employees, including:
Timer Extension: Up to 10 hours and 30 minutes for greater flexibility.
Increased vacation time: For a better work-life balance.
Financial incentives: For evening, holiday and night shifts.
Absence Bonus: Rewards for workers with lower absenteeism.
A brighter future for public transport. EAV President Umberto De Gregorio stressed the importance of this agreement to overcome the difficulties of the past and ensure a public transport service that meets citizens' expectations. "Today, even in the South, it is difficult to recruit bus drivers. With this agreement, we make the job more attractive for young people and face the challenges of the future."
A step forward for sustainable mobility. The agreement between EAV and the unions represents a fundamental step towards more sustainable and efficient mobility in the metropolitan area of Naples. Thanks to this agreement, citizens will be able to count on an increasingly reliable and widespread public transport service, thus contributing to reducing traffic and pollution.
