A commendation is being given to the two Carabinieri officers who intervened in Ercolano (Naples) on December 11th to save the life of a child on Corso Resina. The Mayor of Ercolano, Ciro Buonajuto, will present the commendation to Marshals Emily Cannata and Ludovico Mattei. The ceremony will take place tomorrow at 10 a.m. at the Town Hall. In attendance will be Colonel Pantaleone Grimaldi, commander of the Torre Annunziata Carabinieri unit; Major Francesca Romana Bruno, commander of the Torre del Greco Carabinieri company; and Captain Gerardo Avolio, commander of the Torre Annunziata Carabinieri station. e.

“The promptness of intervention in a tense, if not desperate, moment demonstrates once again how the Carabinieri are an irreplaceable garrison of security, solidarity and humanity”. This is Buonajuto’s opinion, for whom “it is right that the city shows all its gratitude to those who every day spare no effort to keep watch over our territory, guaranteeing an action that is not only an example of high professional value, but that also brings with it a powerful message of trust and hope for all of us”.

"Ercolano - still the mayor - increasingly represents a positive model of legality, demonstrating every day that it holds values of profound humanity and solidarity. I also need to thank, for their extreme professionalism and promptness, the health workers of the Maresca Hospital in Torre del Greco who provided care to the child".
