The historic festival of Macerata Campania will be the protagonist again next weekend, bringing a typical folklore experience that also attracts the interest of residents of nearby towns.

Organized by the float association and supported by Radio Club 91, the event will take place from January 18th to 21st. The days will be animated by activities that will start from the early hours of the morning until midnight, involving the entire community of Macerata and the many expected visitors.
The Tradition of the “Battles of Pastellessa”
A central moment of the festival is the traditional parade of the “Battuglie di Pastellessa”. The floats, known as “Carri di Sant'Antuono”, will host the “Bottari di Macerata Campania”, who will reproduce the ancient sounds using traditional instruments such as barrels, vats and sickles. This manifestation of popular culture is an irresistible attraction for those who want to immerse themselves in local traditions.
Traditional Activities and Shows
The event will include a fireworks display and a series of traditional games on Tuesday evening. Popular competitions such as tug-of-war, sack races and barrel races will stand out, providing fun and participation for all.
