According to what was reported by the firefighters, they have identified the body of the maintenance worker, but at the moment for safety reasons it has not yet been possible to reach the point of discovery since the ammonia leak is still ongoing.
The victim was Patrizio Spasiano, 19 years old, resident in Naples, and an employee of an external company that was carrying out maintenance work. Spasiano was lying lifeless on a scaffold.
Several teams of firefighter specialists are working on the spot. Other colleagues of the worker had been recovered and rescued.
The very heavy leak of ammonia from a pipe that could potentially kill one or more people. At the moment, six ambulances are on site and patients have been transferred between the hospitals of Aversa and Marcianise.
