Three foreigners arrested for theft in a supermarket in Sannio

Three women of Romanian origin, all residents of Naples, were arrested by the Carabinieri for aggravated theft in a supermarket, while another woman and a man, also Romanian, were charged.

The owner of a supermarket in Torrecuso noticed the suspicious behavior of the three women and alerted the police. Realizing that they had aroused suspicion, the three women and a man fled on board a car, in which there was another woman. The five were stopped by the military in Valle di Maddaloni (Caserta).

Following a search of the vehicle, the Carabinieri found numerous food items and personal hygiene products with a total value of over a thousand euros, the object of a theft that had occurred shortly before in a supermarket in Montesarchio where they had been "immortalized" by video surveillance cameras.
