“We wanted to give a strong signal of social inclusion,” underlined Giuseppe Cirillo, deputy mayor of the Metropolitan City of Naples. “By bringing the Giro to areas like Green Park of Caivano and the Fiat-Stellantis plant in Pomigliano, we want to demonstrate that everywhere there is room for hope and rebirth”.
A driving force for tourism – But the Giro d'Italia is also a powerful tool for promoting tourism. Millions of viewers around the world will have their eyes fixed on Naples, admiring its beauty and discovering its many facets.

Two time trials, six sprinter stages, eight medium mountain stages and five high mountain stages. About thirty-eight kilometres of dirt roads, thirty of dirt roads in the final part of the Siena stage and eight on the Colle delle Finestre which for the third time in its history will also be the Cima Coppi with its 2.178 metres (penultimate stage). The Montagna Pantani will be the Passo del Mortirolo, while the Tappa Bartali will be the Gubbio-Siena with the finish in Piazza del Campo.
