According to reports, the Council of Ministers has decided to challenge the Campania regional law on third-term elections. This intention was announced this morning by Prime Minister Giorgia Meloni during her press conference at the beginning of the year.
Minister Roberto Calderoli has referred the decision on the Campania Region law regarding the third mandate to the Council of Ministers. As is known, the vote is not foreseen in the Council of Ministers. Finally, the difference of opinion on this issue among the majority forces is equally well known.

Martusciello, De Luca should resign and let's give the floor back to the people of Campania
"If Vincenzo De Luca really believes that it is the people of Campania who should judge his actions, he should show consistency and resign tomorrow. After the government's challenge to the regional law that allows for a third mandate, there are no more excuses: let's give citizens back the ability to choose. De Luca will still be eligible and will have the opportunity to engage directly with voters. Let's go vote immediately and put every decision on the future of Campania back in the hands of the people of Campania." This was stated by Fulvio Martusciello, regional coordinator of Forza Italia in Campania.

It is interesting to see how the Council of Ministers reacts to the regional law. Of course, the issue of the third mandate is complex and everyone has their own opinion. We hope that a solution that satisfies everyone will be found, but there are many uncertainties.
