Sant'Antonio Abate - "A workers' cooperative to manage Sonrisa? The workers' future isn't tied to the real estate's."
This was reiterated by the prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, on the sidelines of a meeting held at the town hall in Castellammare di Stabia, following the ultras attack on a Circumvesuviana train that left three injured on Sunday evening.
Among the topics discussed with journalists was the future of the Grand Hotel. The Sonrisa"The Castle of Ceremonies" from the popular TV show. Last week, the workers met with the prefect, also attended by the mayor of Sant'Antonio Abate, Ilaria Abagnale, and proposed creating a cooperative to manage the accommodation facility for the coming months.
"The building is owned by the Municipality of Sant'Antonio Abate," reiterated Prefect Michele di Bari. "The workers must follow a separate path, which cannot be tied to the fate of a building which, it should be reiterated, has been clearly established by final decisions as the property of the Municipality of Sant'Antonio Abate." The latest extension granted by the Campania Regional Administrative Court expires on February 13th, after which the Municipality will withdraw the hotel and restaurant licenses.
