NAPLES – TheIntegrity Tour 2024/2025, initiative reached tenth edition and promoted by Lega Serie A, Sportradar and Institute for Sports and Cultural Credit.
The project, born to strengthen the culture of legality in the world of football and spread the true values of sport, has involved footballers, coaches and managers of the SSC Napoli. The appointment with the first team took place on Wednesday 29th January at the Naples Training Center, while the youth sector will participate in a dedicated meeting on Tuesday, February 4. The aim is to raise awareness among athletes, from the youngest to the most experienced, on the seriousness of the match fixing, a phenomenon that threatens the integrity of sports competitions.
During the workshop, Marcellus Presilla, Integrity Manager for Italy of Sportradar AG, he explained to those present the risks and consequences of match fixing, explaining the ways in which the so-called "fixers" approach the players, often through social networks and new technologies, putting their careers and the credibility of the football system at risk. Particular attention was also given to the regulations regarding betting and the proper use of social media by players.
The captain of Napoli, John By Lorenzo, stressed the importance of the initiative: “This year too we have joined with conviction the workshop on the integrity of the game and the fight against match fixing. Raising awareness among footballers about a scourge like betting is essential to fight sports fraud. Fairness must be the starting point of every professional activity, and in football we must all fight together to achieve this goal”.

The Integrity Tour initiative is very important for football, but I think there are still many challenges to be faced. Young players need to be educated about the risks of match fixing, but technology can also complicate the situation. It is essential to continue doing these workshops.
