Naples - During the night, Luca's Pub Steak House, a historic venue located in the heart of Vomero, was the scene of an unusual robbery.

A group of criminals broke one of the pub's windows using cobblestones collected from the street to gain entry.

The loot, however, turned out to be decidedly modest. Since there were no valuables in the shop, the thieves decided to steal some sandwiches before fleeing.

"We're at rock bottom, they're even entering pubs now.

What could they possibly find in a pub? ” declared the owner of the place, Luca Buonaiuto, with bitterness mixed with irony.

Despite the disappointment, he tried to make light of the situation: "The sandwiches are selling like hotcakes now.", he commented with a forced smile that betrayed all his disappointment for an episode of petty crime that adds to the list of similar acts that are increasingly frequent in the neighborhood.

The story, although almost surreal, once again shines a spotlight on urban safety and the vulnerability of commercial activities often left alone to deal with these situations.

"Total solidarity with the owner Luca Buonaiuto, the victim of this cowardly act, with the hope that law enforcement can identify the criminals. Besides the theft," declared MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli, along with Europa Verde municipal councilors Rino Nasti and Luca Bonetti, "the main problem is the damage to the premises.

These unscrupulous criminals are unfortunately an ever-growing problem for honest citizens and business owners. They steal everything and often destroy the premises.
