The Cypriot-flagged vessel Guang Rong ran aground due to adverse weather conditions near the pier along the coast of Marina di Massa.
Intervention by the Port Authority
Following the incident, personnel from the Port Authority of Marina di Carrara intervened to manage the situation. The operation is coordinated by the Regional Maritime Rescue Center of the Coast Guard of Livorno.
Emergency actions
The center has arranged for a helicopter from the Sarzana Air Unit to be sent, in addition to alerting the tugboats to ensure a timely and safe intervention.
