Fatal accident at work: worker crushed by forklift, there is a suspect
Marcianise – A turning point in the investigation into the tragic death of Pompeo Mezzacapo, the 39-year-old worker originally from Marcianise and resident in Capodrise, who died on New Year's Eve morning in a work-related accident at the Frigocaserta plant in Gricignano.
The public prosecutor of the Naples North Prosecutor's Office, Josè Criscuolo, has registered RD, 43, a company manager and originally from Benevento, in the register of suspects for the crime of manslaughter. The registration, which occurred as is standard practice in these cases, does not exclude that further responsibilities may emerge as the investigations continue, which are currently being conducted with extreme caution.
For the family of Pompey Half-Cape, the pain is accompanied by a long wait. The autopsy will be assigned only on Tuesday morning, while the worker's body remains under seizure at the Institute of Forensic Medicine of the Giugliano hospital. The autopsy, necessary to clarify the causes of death, is scheduled for next week. In the meantime, the family will be assisted by the lawyer Giuseppe Foglia and will be able to appoint a consultant.
According to the first investigations conducted by the Carabinieri of the Marcianise Company, the worker was crushed by a forklift during the goods handling operations, an accident that left him no escape, causing his death instantly.
Investigations are continuing to shed full light on the dynamics of the incident and to ascertain any violations of workplace safety regulations.

The article talks about a bad accident at work, but I don't understand why it happened and who are the people involved. I hope that the investigation finds the truth and that the worker's family can get justice. It's a difficult situation.
