Fabio Postiglione was a professional journalist, never flashy, humble and hard-working, victim of a serious road accident that last night, in Milan, took him away from his wife and family.

Numerous messages of condolence. Born in Napoli, where he had distinguished himself with his articles, so much so that he also became the target of threats from the Cimmino clan, Fabio leaves behind his wife, also a journalist, whom he married in 2019. He worked at the Neapolitan newspaper Roma, where he always covered judicial news, then at the Corriere del Mezzogiorno and finally at the Corriere della Sera, first in Basilicata and then in Milan.

He also collaborated with Agi and the news website Anteprima24. He has always stood out for his skills and has made a name for himself in the profession: before arriving in Milan, he worked in the Basilicata bureau of Corriere della Sera, covering Matera, Capital of Culture, in 2019. Then came the offer to work in Milan. He had been working for the "Cronache" section of Corriere della Sera for a year and two months: he lived in Milan with his wife but often returned to his native Naples for family reasons.

A die-hard Napoli fan, Postiglione had a cheerful disposition, a contagious smile, and was always available to his friends and family, starting with his beloved wife, his Mediaset colleague Valentina Trifiletti.

"In 2019, at the SUGC, he participated, with Sandro Ruotolo and other colleagues, in the refoundation of the Union of Journalists in Campania and has always participated in the activities of the Order of Journalists. An attentive and passionate reporter, a huge Napoli fan, he always covered the most complex and controversial aspects of his city, which he loved dearly, always close to colleagues who were approaching the profession and those most in difficulty."

This is what we read in a statement from the Campania Joint Journalists' Union and the Campania Order of Journalists, who "embrace Fabio's wife Valentina Trifiletti and his family in a warm embrace and announce joint initiatives to remember him."
