Naples – The Carabinieri's control action in the hot areas of Neapolitan nightlife continues at a fast pace and some clubs and fry shops in Vomero have ended up in the net: 2 of which have received fines.
Seven establishments were inspected for hygiene and health standards: a fry shop, a pizzeria and a bakery received fines for structural deficiencies and violations of food regulations. In addition, the owner of a hair salon on Via Cilea was reported for electricity theft, having tampered with the meter to reduce the recorded consumption.
Efforts were concentrated in the alleys of Chiaia and the streets of Vomero, with a massive deployment of forces and intensive monitoring of premises, roads and meeting points.
Vomero: safety and prevention in the foreground
In parallel, the operation involved the streets of Vomero, with the support of the Guardia di Finanza, Local Police, ASL staff and ENEL technicians. The roadblocks in the most frequented areas produced significant results.
In Piazza Vanvitelli, a 15-year-old was reported for having been found in possession of a stolen license plate and a 34-centimeter-long knife hidden in the trunk of his scooter.

Chiaia: between complaints and seizures
In the heart of the Chiaia nightlife, the military identified 125 people and checked 34 vehicles, of which 13 were detained or seized. Nine complaints were registered, including two for harassing begging of motorists looking for parking.
Among the most notable cases, a 31-year-old found in possession of a knife with a 6-centimeter blade and a 27-year-old stopped for driving under the influence of alcohol. Moments of tension occurred at the Chiaia Carabinieri station, where a 27-year-old attacked a soldier while trying to reach an arrested friend: he was also reported.
Particular attention was paid to combating the use of narcotics, with seven people reported to the Prefecture. In addition, a man was removed from the “Red Zone” of Chiaia for violations that put public order at risk.
Widespread checks also in the next few days
The Carabinieri's surveillance and prevention activity will continue with equal intensity in the coming hours, both in Chiaia and in the hilly neighborhoods, to ensure safety and respect for the law in the city.
