Naples, ISIS affiliate arrested

A blitz in the historic center of Napoli led to the capture this morning of an alleged affiliate of theIsis: he is a 30 year old citizen.

The man had been followed for some time by expert anti-terrorism detectives and this morning in Naples, where he had been for a few days, the blitz and capture took place.

This is a man of Moroccan nationality arrested in Naples on a warrant from the Neapolitan investigating judge, following investigations by the Digos started last summer, for terrorism international and subversion.

Several searches are also underway. The man, according to investigators, joined theIsis, and on the web he spread subversive messages, also expressing violent intentions against the Jewish community. The arrested man lived in the province of Naples.

The investigation activity, conducted by DIGOS personnel of the Naples Police Headquarters and supported by the Central Directorate of Prevention Police, started in the previous summer, through information contributions and computer investigation techniques, has allowed the acquisition of multiple pieces of evidence regarding the suspect's membership in the terrorist group ISIS.

The young man practiced on the web activities of apology and diffusion of themes dear to the terrorist organization, confirmed by statements of violent plans against the Jewish community of Naples. The thirty-year-old, of Moroccan origin, had also expressed the desire to obtain a knife to carry out terrorist plans.
