Naples – “The investment we are making in the Municipal Police is very important: hiring to rejuvenate the force, a completely renewed fleet of vehicles, uniforms.
We will strengthen it more and more, the commitment it has to security is fundamental. There is great support from the municipal administration”. Thus the mayor of Naples, Gaetano Manfredi, on the sidelines of the presentation of the new fleet of cars supplied to the local police in Piazza Municipio.
There are 52 vehicles – 8 Fiat Tipos and 125 Citroën C3s – which will be added to the 81 already present for a total of 133 operational units available to the agents.
“We are progressively improving – he explained Antonio De Iesu, Councilor for the Municipal Police and Legality of the Municipality of Naples – the logistical capacity of the staff, new cars on lease for which we have no waiting times. We are doing a job that we are, in a sustainable way, satisfied with”.
"The municipal administration - highlighted the commander of the local police Ciro Esposito - wanted to go from the 81 vehicles in service to 133 to allow greater flexibility of the men and women of the corps. A shared need because having the resources available on the territory allows us to move them in the shortest possible time".
