Naples – Yesterday evening, State Police officers arrested a 27-year-old man, originally from Gambia and with a specific criminal record, for illicit possession of narcotics.
The operation was triggered during a territorial control service carried out by the Police Station Vicar-Market. During a patrol in vico Settimo Duchesca, the police noticed a suspicious sale: a man handed over an object to another individual in exchange for a banknote, before quickly walking away.
The officers intervened promptly and stopped the 27-year-old, finding him in possession of 4 sticks of hashish for a total of about 6 grams, 4 small bags containing about 3 grams of marijuana and 350 euros in cash, divided into banknotes of different denominations. The money was considered to be the proceeds of drug dealing.
The man was immediately arrested and placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities. The police continue to intensify controls in the area to combat the phenomenon of drug dealing.
