Naples. The swimming pool at the Collana sports facility in the Vomero district will be inaugurated on Monday, January 13. The president of Municipality 5, Clementina Cozzolino, announced this, underlining the importance of the Memorandum of Understanding signed between the Regional Universiade Agency for Sport (Arus) and the Municipality, with the aim of promoting sports, social and cultural initiatives within the facility.
In a note, Cozzolino stated: “During today's council, the director of Arus, Flavio De Martino, participated and made official the reopening of the pool, closed for eight years. The event will take place in the presence of the national president of Coni, Giovanni Malagò”.
The president expressed great satisfaction for the signed Protocol, which provides not only for the relaunch of sports activities in the facility, but also for a significant investment by the Campania Region. Over 40 million euros will be allocated to the complete restyling of the facility and external areas, with particular attention to the redevelopment of Piazza Quattro Giornate.
An important signal for the Vomero neighborhood and for the entire city of Naples, which once again has a modern and functional sports center, ready to host events and initiatives for the community.

It's good news that the pool is reopening after eight years, but I hope things are going well and that there are many activities for everyone. Vomero needs more sports spaces for young people.
