In the heart of Naples, near the busy Via Toledo, a B&B was seized by agents of the Avvocata Operations Unit.
The reason? Illegal construction work that had led to the creation of a mezzanine, a new bedroom and a third bathroom, illegally expanding the structure's accommodation capacity.
The intervention of the police was triggered following a careful inspection, which allowed them to ascertain that the works had been carried out without the necessary authorizations and without the required structural calculations.
This omission, in addition to being illegal, could have compromised the stability of the entire building, putting the safety of guests and other residents at risk.

The B&B owner has been reported to the judicial authorities, held accountable for his actions. The property has been seized, pending further investigations and decisions by the competent authorities.

But that's not all. During an intense day of checks, officers from the GIT Motorcyclists Operational Unit combed the streets of Naples, particularly Via Giulio Cesare, to ensure compliance with the Highway Code. The toll was quite heavy: 19 violations were detected, 7 vehicles were seized or impounded, and one driver was reported to the judicial authorities for driving without a license.
The man, a repeat offender, was caught driving a vehicle without the required license for the second time. He has been reported to the judicial authorities, who will now assess the appropriate sanctions.
But it doesn't end there. During the checks, two other drivers were identified who were driving without a license, sanctioned with an administrative fine. Two drivers were fined for driving a vehicle that had already been seized or stopped, while eight had not worn their seat belts. Finally, a vehicle was found without insurance, resulting in a fine for the owner.
This series of interventions, which involved several operational units of the Municipal Police, demonstrates the commitment of law enforcement to combating illegal construction and violations of the Highway Code, safeguarding safety and legality in the Neapolitan area.
