By virtue of the Constitutional Court's decision, the referendum aimed at abolishing the controversial law concerning differentiated autonomy will not take place.
The court highlighted, through a press release, the lack of clarity that it says emerges from the request. We know that the sentence and related reasons will be made explicit by February 10.
The referendum had been expressly requested by the opposition, and it should be noted that the government forces themselves do not support the law unanimously.

The Constitutional Court last November had emphasized the partial illegitimacy of the law itself. The Constitutional Court's decision to nip in the bud any referendum ambition, going against what was previously decided by the Court of Cassation, represents something not exactly usual.
