Thursday 23 January 2025 will be a historic day for Qualiano: at 10:30 am, at the Villa Comunale in via Aniello Palumbo, the official ceremony for the laying of the first stone of the new digital library.

The facility was financed thanks to the funds of the National Recovery and Resilience Plan (PNRR) and follows the administrative line of the De Leonardis council, with the support and supervision of the Councilor for Public Works Salvatore Onofaro.
The project includes a multifunctional space divided into four levels: a underground floor: dedicated to technical systems (electrical, water and sanitation, etc.); the ground floor: a large open area for welcoming and meeting; a focus on: with a conference room, a refreshment area, a reading room and a book storage room and a second floor reserved for the reading of rare books, with additional reading spaces and multifunctional environments.

The library aims to become a vital center for study, discussion and socialization, offering citizens a modern and welcoming place to cultivate culture. It is a unique work of its kind for Qualiano and its surroundings, designed to meet the needs of all ages and promote dialogue between generations.
