The Court of Assizes has issued a life sentence for Alfredo Erra, held responsible for the murder of Anna Borsa, a young hairdresser from Pontecagnano Faiano, in the province of Salerno.
The victim had been murdered after she decided to end her relationship with the man.The judges rejected the defense line presented by the lawyer Pierluigi Spadafora, who had requested the recognition of the incapacity of understanding and willing for his client.
Before being killed, Anna Borsa had confided in her family and friends her concerns about the threats she had received from Erra. The man, according to what she said, promised to take his own life if she made a formal complaint. Despite these fears, Anna had never filed a complaint with the authorities.
In the months before the crime, the young woman had started a new romantic relationship. During the shooting that took place in the hair salon where Anna worked, her new partner was also injured.
After committing the murder, Alfredo Erra he attempted to commit suicide by shooting himself in the head, but the bullet lodged in his skull without causing his death. The man was captured a few hours later, near a service station along the highway.
