Pietrelcina – Following the checks, the immediate suspension of the restaurant and bar service was ordered until the hygiene and health requirements were restored.
The intervention took place within the scope of the control activities on public establishments, the staff of the Police of the State of the Benevento Police Headquarters, together with the Inspectors of the Prevention Department of the local ASL and the Officials of the Territorial Labor Inspectorate of Benevento.
During the inspection, approximately 100 kg of various types of frozen food, without traceability, and gastronomic preparations with expired expiration dates were seized. The hygienic-sanitary conditions in the kitchen areas were found to be seriously lacking, with a lack of ordinary and extraordinary cleaning interventions both of the rooms and of the furnishings. Furthermore, the HACCP procedures relating to sanitation were not respected.
Two employees were found to have failed to undergo mandatory health surveillance to verify their suitability for the job, as required by Legislative Decree 81/2008. The Police Headquarters staff also noted the failure to display clearly visible prices and the table for measuring blood alcohol levels at the entrance and exit of the premises, the failure to provide equipment for measuring blood alcohol levels and the lack of surveillance of the premises.
The inspection bodies contested the violations found and forwarded the documents to the competent authorities for subsequent evaluations.
